Woongjin Chemical manufactures membranes for reverse osmosis, nanofiltration and ultrafiltration, which are mainly used for seawater and brackish water desalination, wastewater recycling and reuse, and ultrapure water production (industrial use). We also produce micro-filters used for water treatment and processing in the electronics, pharmaceutical and food and beverages industries.
Among our RO membranes, the FRM (fouling resistant membrane) has been very well-received, while brackish water, ultrapure water and seawater elements are gaining notable references at sites throughout the world. Currently, much R&D and focus is geared towards the development of seawater elements with high flux and boron rejection, chlorine resistant membranes, 16 inch elements, and overall, products with low-voltage and high salt rejection to save operation and installation costs.
